
Gad Berdugo MSc Eng., MBA
Mr. Berdugo brings over 35 years of biotech corporate & business development, strategy, operational, financial, investment and venture general management experience, both as a senior executive and entrepreneur. He completed more than a dozen strategic partnerships, licensing and M&A deals, and multiple financings for both private and public companies, as well as being involved in several startup formations.
He serves as Chairman of LSE listed Genflow Biosciences, member of the Board of Directors of Allergene AI Therapeutics, Advisor to iOncologi and co-founder of a Cambridge MA based stealth gene editing company. He previously served as Advisor & CBO at Arch Venture backed Nutcracker Therapeutics (acquired by Medici Therapeutics); Executive in Residence at Columbia Technology Ventures; Vice-Chairman of Evexta Bio; CBO at CRISPR gene editing pioneer, Nasdaq listed, Editas Medicine; Co-Founder and CEO of personalized neoantigen cancer vaccine venture, EpiVax Oncology Inc.; CFO at Nasdaq listed Immune Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Prior to that, he spent 15 years on Wall Street, first as Director, and Life Sciences Equity Research Sector Leader at Lazard, Asset Management Group, managing $12 billion of investments in the global life science sector; then as Managing Director and Head of Life Sciences, at M&A advisory firm, Tegris Advisors; then as Founder and Managing Partner of the Explorium Capital biotech investment fund.
He started his career at Abbott Labs and then at Baxter where he was a Director of Global Business Development within Baxter's $2 billion biopharmaceuticals division.
He is an advisor to the BIO CEO organization and the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy, and a board member of the Alliance of mRNA Medicines and Friends of University College London Inc.
